After five years of rebuilding and renewal following the fire of 2006, All Saints Orthodox Church was formally Reconsecrated by His Grace, our Bishop Tikhon. The Reconsecration Celebration services began Friday, Sep. 16 with the Vigil for the Consecration of a Church, with the Mission Choir from St. Tikhon's Seminary singing the hymns. The celebration culminated Saturday, Sep. 17, with the Rite of Consecration of the Altar Table and Church (click here for an excellent commentary on the symbolism of the Rite of Consecration, thanks to the Diocesan staff), followed by an utterly joy-filled Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. Hundreds of faithful; an incredible choir amassed from across the Orthodox churches of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre; and over 30 priests, deacons, subdeacons and altar servers joined together to glorify God in the renewal of this stunningly beautiful house of worship! A Celebration Banquet followed at Fiorelli Banquet Hall in Peckville, with over 300 in attendance!
