On Sunday, Sep. 11, hundreds gathered at All Saints Church to pray, reflect, and honor the victims of the terrorist attacks on the U.S. a decade ago. The Ekumen Chorale, under the direction of Mr. Patrick Marcinko, offered a somber and stirring musical tribute. His Grace, Bishop TIKHON, led the clergy and faithful in a Memorial Service of Prayer for the Departed of 9/11. Then, everyone assembled outside the church for the Blessing of the Olyphant Fire Engines and the Reading of a Proclamation from the Mayor of Olyphant saluting the firefighters and emergency response personnel of our community and our country. The people of All Saints presented a Dinner Reception in the parish hall afterward.
May the memory of those departed this life on Sep. 11, 2001, and of those who have given their lives in service to this country since, be eternal! Click here to view a slideshow.
